Northern Cardinal
Baron Redcrest Of Emberwood

In the ancient boughs of Emberwood, where the branches intertwine like the fingers of old gods, there rules a feathered noble known as Baron Redcrest. With a crown of crimson and a demeanor both regal and roguish, Redcrest is the last heir of the Emberwood Perchhold, a once-great line of treewardens and lorekeepers.
He is a cardinal of diplomacy and wit, a negotiator in thorny matters both political and territorial. It is said he once settled a feud between the Jays of Juniper Ridge and the Wrens of Wyrmroot Hollow using only a firm stare and three well-placed puns. Don’t mistake his elegance for idleness, though - when his realm is threatened, the Baron becomes a blur of righteous fury, defending his domain with the precision of a seasoned duelist and the gallantry of a bard-turned-hero.
Baron Redcrest wears a black crest plume when in formal gathering - a mark of his role as Speaker of the Canopy Court. He also hosts the annual Featherfall Moot, where birds of every kind come to exchange stories, songs, and seedcakes under the protection of Emberwood’s hospitality.
To see him perched at sunrise, surveying his kingdom as golden light gilds the trees, is to know that some rulers are born not of conquest, but of quiet strength and a deep love for their woodland home.
