Emberwing The Bold
A flash of ember, a song in the wind, a speckled knight upon the rosebush ramparts. Emberwing The Bold is not your average House Finch - he is the banner-bearer of sunrise, the balladeer of rooftop kingdoms, and the self-styled Champion of Unlikely Victories.
Draped in hues of molten gold and brick, Emberwing is easy to spot, even easier to hear - and nearly impossible to discourage. His voice is pure morning cheer; his call, the rallying trumpet that stirs every slumbering leaf and feathered neighbor.
With a bravery that borders on heroic folly, Emberwing has stared down hawks (from a safe distance), bested the fat squirrel in feats of seed-snatching, and once delivered a rousing speech to a council of sparrows who didn’t understand a word but applauded anyway. His greatest weapon? Relentless optimism and an astonishing ability to find seeds where none seem to exist.
He is the first to greet the dawn, the last to leave the evening perch, and the only finch known to have attempted - and survived - a daring hop across the Great Rain Gutter during a storm. (The legend says he sang the whole way.)
He claims no throne, for his song is his scepter. He guards no hoard, for the sunrise is his treasure.
Some say if you listen at daybreak, you’ll hear Emberwing The Bold, singing the world awake - and if you ask him, he’ll tell you it’s not just his job… …it’s his destiny.
