Gravelok Storm-Witness

When the skies split open and the world turns gray, Gravelok is the one perched on the highest branch-soaked to the bone, unbothered, and staring into the heart of the storm like he’s reading an old memory.

Among the Black Sentinels, Gravelok carries a rare title: Storm-Witness. It’s an honor given only to crows who don’t merely survive tempests-they listen to them. He insists thunder carries messages from ancient powers, and that rain has a way of washing truth out of liars. Most birds snicker at that… but never within earshot.

Where Corvath Darkwing is the silent judge, Gravelok is the omen. When he strides into Emberwood dripping and unimpressed, even the boldest feathers ruffle. The whisper is always the same: “If Gravelok’s here, something big is coming.”

He keeps the lore others refuse to carry. He remembers the disasters everyone else tries to forget. He warns, he watches, and he never, ever embellishes.

The storm chose him yesterday. Today, he simply showed up like he expected it.
