Among the upper canopies of Emberwood, where morning first breaks through the mists, soars Lyrwen the Dawnwarden - stalwart guardian of the Skyborn’s light. Her wings bear the pale shimmer of new day, her gaze the calm certainty of one who has seen countless dawns and vowed to protect each one.

In the days following the Rift of Wings, when Skyborn and Valebound turned their backs upon each other, it was Lyrwen who lit the First Beacon atop Sunspire Branch - a ritual flame that signaled hope to the weary and defiance to the darkness. Since then, she has been called Dawnwarden, sworn to keep the morning’s promise alive, even when shadow gathers thick around the Vale.

Unlike the serene Rowyn, who speaks through peace and patience, Lyrwen is a dove of action and resolve. Her songs call others to rise, to rebuild, and to remember that peace is not merely the absence of conflict, but the courage to defend it.

It is said that when she takes flight, her wingtips catch the sun so brightly that even Kaedor the Fierce pauses mid-caw to watch - begrudgingly impressed.

Now, each sunrise in Emberwood begins with her call: a soft, echoing coo that carries both warning and welcome - a reminder that light endures, and that those who guard it must never falter.
