Ruby-Throated Hummingbird
Council: Other Powers in Motion
Thistledart

She’s the glimmer between blossoms, the zip of wind that arrives before the rain, and the last flash of color at sunset - Thistledart, a Ruby-Throated Hummingbird with a name earned by her speed, her sting, and her uncanny aim.
Where others sip, she strikes. Where others hover, she dances.
Thistledart isn’t one for idle conversation or social niceties - unless you count aerial duels and territorial fly-bys as polite introductions. She darts through thistle and thorn like they’re her ballroom, weaving between brambles with acrobatic flair and just enough attitude to keep the bees on edge.
She’s lean, green, and ruby-throated - a jewel with jet boosters. She’s known to guard her patch of flowers like a dragon guards gold, and has been observed engaging in what ornithologists have described (with some awe) as “feathered fencing.”
No one knows where she goes at night, but legend says if you leave out a single drop of sugar water in an heirloom teacup, she’ll appear at dawn and leave a dew-kissed petal in thanks… or as a warning. Hard to say.
